The legal dispute between NJZ (formerly NewJeans) and ADOR took a new turn after CCTV footage presented in court contradicted Hanni’s claims that she was ignored by ILLIT at HYBE’s building.
During the March 7, 2025, hearing at Seoul Central District Court, ADOR revealed CCTV footage showing three ILLIT members bowing at a 90-degree angle to Hanni and Danielle. This directly challenged Hanni’s earlier accusation that ILLIT’s manager instructed members to ignore her. However, since the footage lacked audio, ADOR could not prove whether the alleged instruction was ever given.
It is also reported that after watching the CCTV video, Hanni suddenly let out a laugh, which many interpret as her being dismissive of the severity of the case.
Following the hearing, Hanni began receiving backlash online, with many netizens criticizing her for making claims that now appear inconsistent with the CCTV footage.
Some fans argued that the video did not disprove that the instruction to ‘ignore her’ was not given, while others accused her of jeopardising ILLIT’S careers over a lie.
After the hearing, Hanni took to social media to clarify her side of the story, claiming that the details had been manipulated and that she had more to reveal.

The ongoing legal battle stems from NJZ’s contract termination dispute with ADOR, which began in November 2023. The court has ordered both parties to submit additional evidence by March 14, as the conflict over unfair treatment and contract enforcement continues.
