NewJeans member Minji shared a heartfelt message to fans on her birthday.
On her birthday, on May 7, Minji posted a lengthy message on the group’s new social media. She started the message with a warm greeting and wrote, “Hi Bunnies! I missed you. I wonder what everyone has been up to lately~.”
Minji continued, “I think I’ve been living a busier life than I realized. I came to my senses, and suddenly it was May and my birthday!! Time flies.” Minji confessed, “There’s so much I want to say, but maybe because my mind is cluttered, I can’t organize my thoughts. I just want myself, our members, and Bunnies to be happy. My biggest goal in life is happiness.”
She continued, “Chasing only my own happiness by doing what I love may seem naive to some… but I want today and tomorrow to be happy. I wish the same for your days too, Bunnies.” She added, “Isn’t it too harsh to give up your current happiness for the sake of some future happiness? A future that might never come?”
Minji also reminisced, “I miss the times when we came together through good music and shared our thoughts. But I’m always more excited about what lies ahead. We’re not stopping here, and we won’t stop.” She concluded, saying, “It might look like we’re standing still, but I believe we’re growing deeper. I hope the today we shared with Bunnies, and the tomorrow we’ll share, are filled with happiness. From Minji, who now feels our moments together are even more precious in this finite time.”
In addition to her message, Minji surprised fans by visiting a birthday café that fans had set up in her honor. Videos of her appearance at the café quickly spread online.
