The group NewJeans greeted fans with a new name, “Jeanz” via a new official Instagram account!
On the 14th of December, the five NewJeans members (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) drew attention by creating an account named “jeanzforfree.”
The account was confirmed to be the real new NewJeans account after the members used the Story feature to confirm, they said, “It’s really us. We’ve missed you. We’ll meet here more often,” signaling upcoming communication through the new account.
They said, “Isn’t it really cold in Korea right now? We’ve prepared this so you can have warm meals. Please make sure to eat well,” adding, “Eat plenty, stay warm, stay strong, and take care.”
Hyein stated, “We see all the efforts and unity from many idol fans. We wanted to help in some way, so we prepared this. Please take care of yourselves and stay strong together,” referring to how idol cheering sticks have become a new item at impeachment rallies.
Additionally, NewJeans shared through a post, “A small gift for Bunnies (fandom name) and K-pop fans. Regardless of the artist, anyone with a cheering stick can receive it under the name ‘Bunnies’!”
NewJeans pre-paid for 110 servings of gimbap and 100 drinks at a gimbap shop near Yeouido, where rallies are being held, as well as 50 servings each of five-grain lattes, Americanos, and green tangerine tea at a café, 100 bowls of samgyetang at a samgyetang shop, and 50 bowls each of onban and dumpling soup at a gukbap shop.
This meaningful “pre-paid sponsorship” initiative has garnered widespread support.
