A true “star of stars.” The group NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein) has shone at the “AAA” (Asia Artist Awards) for three consecutive years. Winning three awards, including the Grand Prize, NewJeans shared their aspirations for the future with their fans, the Bunnies.

On the evening of the 27th at 7 PM (KST), NewJeans attended the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024) held at IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-2 in Bangkok, Thailand.

During the event, member Hanni shared in an interview with Star News, “As busy as the year-end period is, it’s such a delight to attend the ‘AAA’ for the third year in a row. I’m especially happy to meet Bunnies overseas through the ‘AAA.’ I hope we can all have a joyful time like today.”

Member Hyein also expressed her excitement, saying, “I’m so glad we had the chance to showcase our stage to K-pop fans in Thailand before the year ends.”

Two years ago, at “AAA 2022,” NewJeans debuted with remarkable success, receiving the Grand Prize for Performance of the Year and the Rookie Award. At “AAA 2023,” they took home six awards, including two Grand Prizes for Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. This year at “AAA 2024,” they once again claimed multiple awards, including Artist of the Year, AAA Best Artist, and Best Performance, marking their third consecutive year of receiving a Grand Prize.

Minji reflected, “We’ve worked hard and performed so many stages this year, and I believe it was possible because of our Bunnies’ support. I’m so grateful and will continue to work hard.”

NewJeans had a stellar year, releasing the double single How Sweet and their Japanese debut single Supernatural, both of which achieved significant success. Notably, they became the fastest-ever act to perform at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

When asked about the most memorable moment from this year’s activities, Danielle shared, “This was truly a year where we experienced and achieved so much. Thinking of the memories made with Bunnies makes me even more excited and eager for next year.” Haerin added, “There were so many wonderful stages, and it was such a joy seeing so many people enjoy them.”

When asked to name their favorite song from this year’s releases, the members unanimously chose Supernatural. Danielle, in particular, expressed her fondness for the track, saying, “Supernatural gives a thrilling, exciting vibe anytime and anywhere, much like our debut track Attention. Performing it on stage brought so many fun memories.” Hanni agreed, saying, “It’s hard to pick just one song, but I remember getting goosebumps when I first heard Supernatural.”

Wrapping up their year at “AAA 2024,” Minji promised, “We’ll return with more joyful performances and great music.” Hanni added, “My goal for next year is to give back to our Bunnies and everyone who has supported us.”

Danielle shared a heartfelt message, “Bunnies, let’s stay healthy and achieve everything we want next year. Thank you, and I love you.” Haerin expressed, “You’ve worked so hard this year. Thank you, and let’s meet again with even more joy next year.” Hyein concluded, “Bunnies, let’s stick together and keep going strong next year.”
