On May 15, NewJeans’ Haerin shared a message of gratitude to fans through the group’s new social media account.
Haerin wrote, “The Bunnies’ letters were absolutely insane… I was totally shocked!” leaving a long, heartfelt note.
She continued, “This may feel a bit raw right now… but I had no choice if I wanted to fully express how surprised, touched, emotional, and thankful I am.” Haerin added, “I think Bunnies can relate. Sometimes the emotions are just too big and vague to put into words. I’m in that exact state right now, so I’m just laying it all out there. Thank you so much.”
She went on to say, “I’m grateful that you celebrated someone else’s birthday with so much love. I’m also thankful for all your quiet support during this difficult time, whatever your reason may be. I keep being amazed. Thank you so much for putting so much care into the birthday cafés and billboards.”

Born on May 15, 2006, Haerin is now celebrating her 19th birthday. Fans organized various events to celebrate the day, and Haerin expressed her heartfelt appreciation in return.
Meanwhile, the five members of NewJeans declared the termination of their exclusive contracts with their agency ADOR last year and have been pursuing independent activities since, even performing on overseas stages under the new group name “NJZ.”
However, on March 21, the court accepted ADOR’s injunction request to preserve its status as the group’s management agency and to prevent the members from entering new advertising contracts. The court stated, “The reasons given by the NewJeans members do not justify the termination of the contract.”
Nevertheless, the NewJeans members filed an objection on the same day. On April 16, the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Agreement Division 50 (Presiding Judge Kim Sang Hoon) dismissed the objection filed by the five members regarding the injunction request.
