Team Bunnies, a dedicated fan group for NewJeans, announced on March 25th that they have been in contact with the members’ parents and legal representatives following the court’s recent decision regarding the group’s legal dispute with their former agency, ADOR.
In an official statement released via social media, Team Bunnies said, “Since the court ruling was made public on March 21st, we have contacted the members’ parents and the law firm Shin & Kim.”
They added, “Over the past few days, we consulted with four major law firms, three former judicial officials, a current lawyer with 17 years of prosecutorial experience, and a former judge. We’ve sought a broad range of legal opinions to assess the situation as objectively as possible.”
Team Bunnies emphasized that while the situation remains difficult, they have completed extensive discussions and are prepared for the next steps: “We want fans to know that we are ready and that a statement outlining key legal issues is being prepared.”
This development comes after the Seoul Central District Court granted ADOR’s injunction request on March 21st to maintain its status as NewJeans’ management agency and prevent the members from signing advertising contracts independently.
Despite the court’s decision, the members—now appearing under the name NJZ—have continued their activities separately, selling merchandise and debuting a new song at a recent event in Hong Kong before announcing a temporary suspension of activities.
Team Bunnies concluded their statement by acknowledging the fans’ confusion and reaffirming their ongoing commitment to navigating the legal situation alongside the artists and their families.
