I don’t regret my choice.”However, the suspension of Newzins’ activities was not discussed with Adore. Adore sent an employee to ‘ComplexCon’ to try to contact the members, but the members reportedly refused to meet. In other words, the suspension of activities seems to have been made because ignoring the court’s provisional injunction citation could be disadvantageous in the main lawsuit.
Earlier, the Seoul Central District Court’s Civil Agreement Department 50 (senior chief judge Kim Sang-hoon) cited Ador’s request for a provisional injunction against the members, including preservation of agency status and signing advertising contracts. The court ruled that
NewJeans is an artist belonging to Adore under an exclusive contract, and that no entertainment activities can be carried out without consultation with Adore.But Newzins drew a line with Adore. They foreshadowed the objection, saying that they “respect the court’s judgment but do not take into account the breakdown of their trust relationship with Adore.” It also intends to provide the basis for the claim at a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract on April 3.
