New Jeans added a meaningful award at the Japanese Music Awards.
The song “Ditto” from the single album “OMG” by Newzins (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Harin, and Hyein) won the “Best K-Pop Song in Japan” category at the “MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025” held in Kyoto, Japan on the 21st.
The “Music Awards Japan” is an award ceremony created in cooperation with five major local organizations, including the Japan Music Industry Association, and government agencies. Various objective indicators, such as Billboard Japan and Oricon, and the votes of more than 5,000 music officials will be combined to determine award-winning artists and works.

“Ditto,” announced on December 19, 2022, received the award at the ceremony, which was held for the first time this year, even though it was two years and five months after its release. It makes us confirm the potential of long-loved Newzins music regardless of time and place.
“Ditto” is a song that has given Newzins several new records. With this song, Newzins entered the U.S. Billboard main song chart “Hot 100” and the U.K. official “Single Top 100” six months after its debut. In addition, “Ditto” topped the overall annual chart in 2023 by achieving the record of being No. 1 for 99 consecutive days on Melon, a major domestic music site, and received the Best Work Award at the “Japan Record Awards” that year.
