It was reported on January 13 that ADOR has filed for an injunction to prohibit NewJeans from signing independent advertising contracts.
ADOR stated they submitted the injunction to the Seoul Central District Court.
The agency stated, “This decision was made to prevent confusion and potential harm to third parties, such as advertisers, as the NewJeans members, who unilaterally declared the termination of their exclusive contracts, continue to contact advertisers and attempt to sign contracts independently.”
ADOR continued, “We have consistently supported all personnel and facilities for NewJeans’ entertainment activities, maintaining the position that the exclusive contract is valid. We plan to continue providing full support moving forward.”
Korean netizens were baffled by ADOR’s latest action against NewJeans. They commented:
“Wow, now they can’t advertise at all…”
“What a load of nonsense.”
“These people are insane.”
“Are they seriously out of their minds?”
“Do they really think pulling this off will stop brands from working with other idols like OO or XX? Yeah, no.”
“Is this for real? Unbelievable.”
“Ugh, disgusting. You guys will get what you deserve. Stop tormenting young idols already.”

“This isn’t market or industry confusion—this is just HYBE and ADOR’s mess.”
