NewJeans has filed an appeal against the court’s injunction prohibiting their activities.
On April 16, NewJeans’ legal representative, the law firm Sejong, released an official statement saying, “Today, the court that handled the injunction upheld the original decision, and we have immediately submitted an appeal.”
They briefly added, “We will continue to faithfully participate in the ongoing legal procedures and do our best to ensure the facts are clearly revealed.”
On the 21st of last month, the court fully accepted ADOR’s request for an injunction against NewJeans, which sought to preserve the agency’s authority and prohibit the group from signing advertising contracts and engaging in other independent activities.
Meanwhile, despite their appeal, the court maintained its decision to prohibit NewJeans from conducting independent activities.
Korean netizens continue expressing concern over NewJeans’ future and disappointment in the group. They commented:

“The people around the girls who are supporting them to continue with this trial is the problem.”

“They really need to stop. It’s such a waste of time. Their lives are being wasted. Do they want to keep living as Min Hee Jin’s slaves?”
