The feud between ADOR and NewJeans continues, and the public sentiment towards the group has greatly changed over the past weeks.
Recently, Korean netizens have noticed this change in public opinion and have gathered on various articles about NewJeans to discuss their opinions on the matter.
On April 30, Danielle took to the social media account independently operated by the members to leave a heartfelt letter to fans. She expressed gratitude towards the fans who continue to support the group while encouraging them to stay strong.
However, the public’s view seemed different as they continued to criticize the girls for continuing their feud with their label, ADOR, despite the court’s latest ruling to uphold the ban on NewJeans’ independent activities.
Following Danielle’s recent social media update, Korean netizens flocked to these articles and commented:
“They made life more difficult themselves…”
“I don’t know how long these girls will keep their eyes and ears closed. It’s already too late even if they return now.”
“There are fewer and fewer people supporting these girls.”
“I guess reality didn’t hit them yet. Well, they are living well with the 5 billion KRW (3.5 million USD) they got paid from their activities.”
“This was their golden time… Age is so important for girl group idols. They were gaslit. But if they’re happy with the 5 billion KRW, then I guess that’s it.”
“So many people are losing interest in them…”
“They’re so young and don’t really understand the laws.”
“They had the chance to promote at the best age, but they flushed that down the toilet themselves.”
“They still haven’t realized that what they’re doing isn’t some revolution. Contracts are not a joke. What they’re doing is just breaking that contract. Unfortunately, they don’t see that.”
“It’s going to get harder for them to make a comeback. I feel bad.”
“There are two solutions: One is to return to ADOR or to pay the penalty to leave ADOR.”
“Aside from fans believing in them or whatnot, would they even be able to make a comeback?”
“They failed to realize, new and younger idols debut regularly in this industry.”
“These girls are trapped in Min Hee Jin’s world.”
“People are going to forget them soon. Tsk tsk.”
“Where is Min Hee Jin?”
“All this will be resolved if they part ways with Min Hee Jin.”
“I feel so bad for these girls. They really are failing to see the reality.”
