Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin unfollows NewJeans on Instagram after resignation.
Min Hee Jin, former CEO of ADOR, has unfollowed NewJeans’ official Instagram account after stepping down from her position at the company.
As of November 20th KST, Min’s Instagram account shows that she no longer follows NewJeans’ official account. Additionally, she has removed the ADOR link from her profile and unfollowed ADOR’s official account. Currently, her Instagram following list is completely empty.
This move has sparked various interpretations in the entertainment industry. Some suggest that the unfollowing is a natural step as Min has resigned from her role at Adore, which owns the intellectual property (IP) rights to NewJeans. While this doesn’t imply a lack of affection for the current members, it signifies her decision to no longer follow the brand’s account.
Others speculate that Min might be preparing to create a new group under a different name, potentially including current NewJeans members. Her recent resignation statement hinted at future activities, fueling this theory. If she were to form a new group with the current members leaving ADOR through contract termination or penalties, it could raise concerns about tampering allegations. This means that whatever Min plans to pursue, timing and justification will be crucial.
On November 20th, Min announced her resignation in a statement, saying, “I am terminating the shareholders’ agreement with HYBE and will hold HYBE legally accountable for breaches of this agreement. Additionally, I will pursue legal actions against HYBE and its affiliates for their numerous illegal actions.”
She continued, “Over the past seven months of conflict initiated by HYBE’s illegal audit in April, I have done everything I could to restore ADOR to its original state prior to April. However, HYBE has shown no sign of admitting their wrongdoings or changing their behavior. I have concluded that further efforts would be a waste of time and have decided to take this step.”
