On the 27th, ADOR stated, “We have maintained a careful stance to avoid unnecessary controversies surrounding our artists due to the factual dispute,” addressing the ongoing issue. Previously, Belift Lab had claimed that the “ignore” remark attributed to an ILLIT manager overseeing protocol was untrue, stating that no such remark was made, and the Ailet members had always greeted NewJeans members.
In response, ADOR emphasized, “Belift Lab’s claims differ entirely from Hani’s testimony,” adding, “Hani clearly remembers an ILLIT manager overseeing protocol saying something along the lines of ‘ignore’ or ‘pass by ignoring’.” ADOR criticized the idea that Hani must recall every detail of the brief incident, saying it was an overly harsh standard to apply to a victim.
Further, ADOR expressed full trust in their artist, Hani, stating, “We truly sympathize with the harm Hani has suffered,” and urged Belift Lab to show respect and a sincere attitude toward resolving the issue. They called for Belift Lab to avoid further unnecessary controversies surrounding ADOR’s artists.
On the 13th, NewJeans members sent a certified letter to ADOR, demanding the correction of contract violations. The letter included demands for an official apology from the manager who made the “ignore” remark to Hani and the return of Min Hee Jin as CEO. The letter also included a clause stating that if the issues were not addressed within 14 days, they would consider terminating their exclusive contract.
