Recent reports revealed that NewJeans lost the legal dispute against ADOR, upholding the validity of the exclusive contract and stating the girls will remain with the agency until its termination in 2029.
The legal dispute began in November 2024, when the K-Pop idols cited a “breach of trust” as grounds for terminating their contracts with HYBE’s subsidiary agency following the dismissal of ADOR’s former CEO, Min Hee-jin.
On October 30, Presiding Judge Jeong Hoe-il of the 41st Civil Settlements Division of the Seoul Central District Court announced her verdict, stating that the dismissal of former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin did not qualify as grounds to nullify the contract.
The court has ruled in favor of ADOR, upholding the validity of the exclusive contract with NewJeans.

This sentence confirmed the validity of the exclusive contract signed by the group with ADOR in 2022, which remains in effect until its expiration in 2029, when the girls could legally part ways with the agency.
