The “Ballet Core Look,” which became popular with girl group Blackpink’s Jenny and New Jeans, is also permeating outdoor (outdoor sportswear) clothing. Ballet Core is a combination of “Ballet” and “Core,” which means fashion that combines the costumes and props of a ballerina with everyday clothes. A fashion industry official said, “Ballet core looks are loved by young women because they naturally emphasize their body shape to make them look feminine and elegant,” adding, “As the popularity of ballet core looks continues, ballet core looks such as Merijane shoes are being applied to outdoor spaces.”

Black Yak recently increased its order volume after the initial supply of Merijane sandals, which was launched in April this year, was in short supply. According to Zigzag, a women’s clothing platform, valet shoes searches have increased 35% and trading volume has increased 592%.
