As NJZ (NewJeans) members’ “hiatus” continues to stretch without an end, their fans miss the girl group and want new music. But it seems the girl group is focusing on lining up high-end brand campaigns at this time.

Amid the latest court findings, L’OFFICIEL SINGAPORE‘s official Instagram shared Chanel‘s LA MOUSSE Camellia Cream Cleansing Foam campaign featuring Minji—and K-Pop fans are now more unsure about the direction that the girl group is seemingly headed.
The photo, taken as part of the ad that was already revealed in March 2025, flaunted Minji’s “bare faced beauty.”
While Minji is, indeed, beautiful in the photo, fans couldn’t help but express frustration at the members “only going through with luxury brand-related content” as of late.
“So they went back just to shoot luxury ads? That’s so pathetic.” “It’s hilarious how they broke off the contract with ADOR and threw a tantrum saying they won’t promote, but when it comes to ad deals, they’re diligently keeping the contract and working with ADOR. I really think their reputation is now beyond repair even if they go back… They’re totally money-hungry, and they’re not even that old.” “Of course they won’t give up the high-end brands.” “Wow… Not them only doing luxury ads, LOL.” “Revolutionary, indeed.” “It’s honestly so funny that they’re only doing high-end brand ads.” “So they’re still doing ads? As of June 24, 2025 (KST), NJZ members did not file a re-appeal to the court’s decision to ban NJZ’s independent activities. This means NJZ must return to ADOR to resume promoting as the five-membered K-Pop girl group as fans know them. The members have remained rather adamant about going back, but could the non-appeal mean the feud is over?

That said, earlier, Danielle‘s appearance at the OMEGA brand’s AquaTerra launch event in Kyoto, Japan sparked similar reactions.
