NewJeans and KATSEYE have been named among Billboard’s ’21 Under 21′, a list recognizing the most influential artists under the age of 21.
The list, released on May 16 (local time) by Billboard, evaluates artists based on various criteria including album and song sales, streaming figures, and overall impact within the music industry.
NewJeans earned a spot on the list for the second consecutive year. Despite recent legal conflicts between their agency ADOR and its parent company HYBE, Billboard emphasized the group’s continued chart dominance. “Though NewJeans have made headlines in recent months due to legal tensions with HYBE, their chart dominance last year speaks to their fans’ unwavering passion,” the magazine explained.
The publication also highlighted the success of their 2023 release ‘Get Up’, which recorded an additional 220,000 sales last year and landed at No. 3 on the year-end Billboard World Albums chart.

Other names on the 2024 list include singer-songwriter D4vd, who is scheduled to perform in Korea this November, and Jessie Murph, who recently appeared at the U.S. music festival Coachella.
