According to media outlet reports on May 1 KST, a man in his twenties who broke into the old dormitory used by the members of NewJewns has been sent to trial for burglary.
Earlier this week on April 25 KST, the Seoul Western District Court indicted a man in his twenties, ‘A’, on charges of breaking and entering into the NewJeans members’ dormitory and stealing items such as clothes hangers and cheer slogans. Based on the police investigation report, ‘A’ broke into the dormitory once on December 18 of last year after learning that the dormitory door was unlocked. ‘A’ then broke into the dorm a second time on December 21, stealing several items.
Previously, NewJeans vacated the dorm provided by ADOR in November of last year, after announcing the termination of their exclusive contracts with the label. It’s believed that ‘A’ entered the dorm soon afterward.
Meanwhile, some time in December of last year, a netizen claiming to be an “ADOR employee” uploaded photos of the dorm after it was vacated by the NewJeans members on an online community, creating a buzz.
