The NJZ fandom has submitted a petition opposing ADOR’s request for an injunction to maintain its management rights over the group.
On March 12th KST, the fan group “Team Bunnies” announced that over 30,000 fans had submitted a petition to the court regarding ADOR’s injunction request against the members of NJZ.
Since February 24th, Team Bunnies has been collecting signatures from domestic and international fans through various forms of petitions, including joint signatories and individually written letters. In addition to the petition, the group also submitted an official statement, legal opinion documents, and reports on malicious posts targeting NJZ members.
In the petition, NJZ fans expressed their support for the members’ decision to terminate their exclusive contracts with ADOR. They criticized HYBE and Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, alleging intentional discrimination against the group and claiming that the hostile environment within the company is unlikely to improve.
Fans also pointed out the age of the NJZ members, highlighting that Minji and Hanni are only 20 years old, Danielle is 19, Haerin is 18, and Hyein is just 16. They emphasized that forcing minors to stay in an unbearable environment for the duration of a seven-year contract is extremely harsh.
Additionally, the petition raised concerns about the leak of NJZ’ trainee videos, condemning HYBE and ADOR’s handling of the situation. Fans expressed their outrage and disappointment, stating that both the members and the fandom have suffered from corporate interference and media manipulation for nearly a year.
The petition further argued that forcing the members to continue working in a hostile environment would only extend their suffering and diminish fans’ enjoyment of their music and activities. Fans urged the court to reject ADOR’s injunction request, allowing the members to pursue their careers in a safe and supportive environment.
The legal battle between NJZ and ADOR began in November 2023, when the five members held an emergency press conference to declare their contract termination. ADOR, in response, claimed that their contracts remain validand filed a lawsuit to confirm contract validity at the Seoul Central District Court. The company also requested an injunction to maintain its status as their management agency and to prevent the members from signing new advertising deals. On February 11th, ADOR expanded the scope of its injunction request.
The court is set to conclude hearings on March 14th, after which a decision will be announced.
