Members of the group New Jeans have announced their new group name, NJZ.
New Jeans members Minji, Hani, Daniel, Harin, and Hyein released photos with the new team name NJZ on their newly opened SNS on the 7th. The SNS account was also renamed from “jeanzforfree” to “njz_official.”
In addition, it announced the appearance of Complex Live, a side event concert of ComplexCon, a global street fashion and culture festival to be held at the Asia World Expo in Hong Kong from the 21st to the 23rd of next month. Complexcon is the first stage to be performed after changing its name to NJZ.
Conflex said on social media, “Please look forward to a surprising journey to be with the new group names of Minji, Hani, Daniel, Harin, and Hyein, NJZ, and Engage in 2025.”
The members of Newzins held an emergency press conference on November 27 last year and said they could no longer continue their activities as artists belonging to Audor. On Dec. 3, Adore filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central District Court to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract with Newzins, saying it would legally confirm that the exclusive contract with Newzins remains valid, and also filed a injunction for prohibition, including preserving the status of an agency and signing an advertising contract.
The members of New Jin’s, who reiterated their position that they still have no intention of returning to Adore and Hive, appointed a legal representative, Sejong, a law firm like Min Hee-jin, former CEO of Adore, heralding legal action. Since then, the members have even launched a public offering of new activity names, not Newzins, through their Jeans4Free account.
