Following ADOR’s lawsuit against NewJeans to confirm the validity of their exclusive contract, the five-member group (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein) released its latest joint statement with its legal representative, Sejong Law Firm.
Despite HYBE and ADOR’s initial injunction to preserve their status in the agency and prevent them from signing advertisement contracts independently, NewJeans unanimously agreed not to return to the label.
“The five of us have absolutely no intention of returning to HYBE and ADOR, from whom we cannot even expect the bare minimum of trust,” NewJeans firmly stated.

The “Ditto” singers, who have been promoting independently under the social media handler “jeanzforfree” explained that they decided to finally fight back against the label in court for continuously harming the members and many others.
At one point, Newjeans claimed that ADOR tried to abandon and replace them, accusing them of exposing their information to the media and YouTubers to create groundless accusations and malicious content about them in public.
“HYBE and ADORE did not fulfill their duty as an agency to protect and grow their artists. There were big and small interferences throughout our activities,” the group said.
“In fact, they even disguised the words ‘ending our entertainment career’ as ‘long-term vacation’ to abandon us and replace us.”
Furthermore, they added that the companies are also slyly harassing and attacking them even in private.
“Recently, they have even tried to persuade or cause discord by secretly meeting some of our parents,” NewJeans revealed.
“Instead of cowardly slandering and dividing others in places that are not visible, and playing with the media with false facts, I hope that they will be honest and upright in their dealings with right and wrong.”
In the meantime, NewJeans, despite being firm that they legally terminated their contracts, also expressed their desire to finish their remaining schedules under ADOR to avoid further dispute and damage to the people involved.
